George Condoyannis receives Volunteer of the Year Award

This year we started a new award to be given at the Spring Connections event - Volunteer of the Year. Sites that we have worked at could nominate a volunteer that had really gone above and beyond in their service to the site. So many of our volunteers go back to the sites they work at to help out.

This year the Volunteer of the Year Award went to Geroge Condoyannis. He was nominated by St. Josephs School, Gowanda and Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, Inc. Below is just a portion of what was written about him.

In addition to his volunteering at these sites he has been a team leader for over 10 years and sites on our Board of Directors as a Vice President.

"George was not only very helpful but professional and patient also. He answered all of our questions and I'm sure spent numerous hours getting all of our information together. He is very knowledgeable about computers and is truly a blessing. We are very appreciative of all the work that he has done to help us become more efficient and informative."

"Over the years has brought us from nothing to a modern computer lab, installing internet connections throughout the lab and throughout the school. Installed at least three computers per classroom. Modernized computers in both the main office and the principals office. After a few years, George came out again and did the whole thing over so that we could have wireless internet connections and updated computers with updated software. Many times he came by himself on days before and after "Ed Tech Day"."
