By turning Change into Technology: Ed Tech of WNY can help schools and other educational facilities keep their networks safe and up to date with innovative technology to help students and teachers alike.
We are inviting the sites we have previously worked to help bring awareness to the work we have completed at the site. By involving students on this project we believe this will extend the technology awareness that not all students have access to the same types of technology as their own classroom might.
We would like to have individual classrooms in your school or organization raise money by bringing in loose change and depositing it into cans provided by Ed Tech. We suggest running this can drive for about 4-6 weeks; this may also be a great opportunity for teachers to discuss the importance of internet safely (including online gaming with people in other countries). At the completion of this fundraising drive one lucky classroom in one school or organization will win a lunch party and a Special Guest Appearance by the one and only Sabretooth! At least one member of the Ed Tech Board will be onsite to present the classroom with a certificate for their fundraising efforts.
