On Saturday May 4th, the Ed Tech Foundation hosted Ed Tech Day at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament School in Depew. We had a team of 10 volunteers that helped from CHS, RLComputing, UB Dental School, Time Warner Cable, LocalEdge, M&T and United Health Care.
We replaced 16 computers in their computer lab with refurbished Windows 7 PCs. We ran cables for and installed 2 wireless access points. This will allow them to utilize laptop computers and iPads more reliably.
We also deployed 11 computers in their classrooms. All these computers will help them meet NYS testing standards in 2014. We provided 2 network printers one of which is an Airprinter for iPads.
So much was accomplished in 7 hrs that we were on site. We had a hard working team that was very hard working.
